Liverpool Likely to Lose Premier League Title this Season

Liverpool have to win all their games and pray that the top four teams lose most of theirs, to have a chance at retaining the premier league title.

Liverpool had an incredible 2019/20 season but are slumping in the current 2020/21 season at fourth place in league standings. Liverpool have 40 points so far, 10 points behind league leaders Manchester City. Manchester United are second in league standings with 45 points, Leicester third with 43 points, and then Liverpool fourth. Chelsea trails Liverpool with 39 points.

Frank Lampard Gone with the Luck

Chelsea have had a rough patch to the extent that they fired their manager Frank Lampard and replaced him with former PSG coach Thomas Tuchel. We are yet to see if Tuchel can really bring back the form of the youngster-filled Chelsea team. Chelsea stars such as Tammy Abraham, Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, and Timo Werner have been having a difficult time scoring. Even their star goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has had a difficult time shining.
